Coverage is through Montage Furniture Services, a third-party insurer. On Vacation Homes/Rental Homes, the policies cover all your furnishings - wood and upholstered. It does not cover accessories - lamps, decor, etc. Mattresses can be covered separately.
The accident plans protect our customers against the things that happen every day - stains, rips, tears, burns (from candles, irons or cigarettes/cigars) punctures - the accidents. It is NOT an extended warranty, but will cover damages that occur to your furniture, for the next 5 years! (10 years on mattresses).

Furniture cost totaling up to $4,999.99: $350.00 one-time fee
Furniture cost totaling $5,000 up to $9,999: $500.00 one-time fee
Furniture cost totaling $10,000 up to $14,999: $650.00 one-time fee
Furniture cost totaling $15,000 up to $19,999: $800.00 one-time fee
Furniture cost totaling $20,000 up to $25,000: $950.00 one-time fee
MATTRESS INFO: $65 per mattress set - with that you will receive a mattress pad. The pads are liquid proof, large enough for the thick mattresses, breathable, hypo-allergenic. Mattress set coverage runs for 10 years.

We protect your customer against all stains, rips, cuts, tears and burns. Breakage of frames and of mechanisms (reclining, adjustable beds, lift chairs, massage chairs, motorized TV consoles). On hard surfaces - water rings, checking, bubbling, gouges in the wood, glass breaking, silvering of mirrors and more.
A. The customer has 30 days from noticing the accident to call us. Our call centers are in Minnesota and South Dakota and you talk with a live person.
B. Again, ALL stains. It doesn’t matter what the stain is.
C. Unlimited technician visits. If we need to send a technician out there, we will send them as often as they have accidents.
D. Full group replacement of matching pieces. If a dining room chair breaks and the chair can’t be fixed or replaced (say the set has been discontinued) the customer can come back to you and reselect another dining room - including the buffet and hutch, if applicable, up to what they paid for the first one. If it is over, they pay the difference. If it is less, they do not get a reimbursement. It is a one-time replacement, so once we replace something the plan has been used and you would sell them a new plan on the replacement furniture.
I think this is a MUST-HAVE for any home that you plan on letting others use - be it friends, family, or as a vacation rental. It will give you piece-of-mind and eliminate the hassles of calling repairpersons out to your home.....or constantly worrying about your furniture!
By the way - there are no deductibles or trip charges!
