Phoenix Winter Residents Stats are BIG this year! Snowbirds flocked more than recent years!
Even in a "down economy", Phoenix is seeing the best numbers in years of winter visitors, mostly from the Northern US and Canada.
A great stat in this article from AZCentral.com is that it's cheaper for a couple to rent a home/RV here for the winter than it is to heat their home in MN! That doesn't even take into account shoveling snow, being miserable, etc - versus golfing and enjoying the outdoors here!
No surprise, but Candians are expected to make up 35% of our winter residents - and with their $100CAN equal to $105US, why not...?!?!?
